9/10
What a charming old place! Loved the sweet folks at the front desk, always ready to help. The breakfast was like a warm hug in the morning, tons of choices. I could do without the parking hassle though, real tight squeezin’. Overall, it felt cozy and a bit like home, just wish they’d fix up some of them creaky bits.

great size rooms, fantastic black-out curtains, clean bathroom
The hotel is in urgent need of redevelopment!!! The soundproofing is inadequate, allowing conversations from adjacent rooms to be clearly heard. The location also struggles with limited parking and steep access that complicates entry!!!

The location is fantastic, just a street over from George Street. Our room was spacious, with a lovely view that made our mornings special. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, we faced a few issues. We arrived to find parking arrangements unclear. we didn’t know we had to reserve and pay for a spot. The breakfast experience was inconsistent. it felt chaotic at times, and we had to return to our room after being told there was a table available, which turned out not to be the case. Additionally, our second room had dirty sheets upon arrival, which was disappointing. The overall feel of the hotel suggested it’s in need of maintenance, with some areas appearing dated and in disrepair. while they were helpful at times, the initial check-in could have been more welcoming. Despite these drawbacks, the positive aspects made our stay enjoyable.

Spectacular views, but breakfast could improve
I loved the private balcony with incredible views where I enjoyed my morning coffee. The room was spacious and cozy, complete with a comfortable bed that made sleep easy. However, the breakfast could have used some improvement, as some items were cold when we arrived. Overall, I had a pleasant stay.

I stayed in the Standard Queen Room for 2 nights. The bed was super comfy, and I loved how clean everything was. The room had a nice view and enough space to move around. The breakfast variety was decent too. The older style of the hotel gave it some character, but just keep in mind it felt a bit dated in some areas. That being said, the staff were really helpful and friendly, making the stay even better!
